Paraffin wax, dye, pvc

This installation engages Black subjectivity as a condition produced through violence, spectacle, and dehumanizing desire. Drawing on Afropessimist theory, particularly Frank B. Wilderson’s articulation of social death, this work understands power as structural, enacted through systems of capture, control, and regulation that originate in slavery and persist through antiblackness.
